We learn by the method of duplicating one another. We do things that people we think we know do. So , if they see somebody making a movement with their face and they do not know what it implies, they're not going to copy the seemingly worthless gesture at the right time, if at all. After a bit they'd stop paying attention to the movement at all. So , whilst the narcissist avoids agony by excluding, devaluing, and dropping others - the Asperger's patient achieves the same result by withdrawing and by enthusiastically incorporating in his universe only 1 or 2 folks and 1 or 2 subjects of interest. Both narcissists and Asperger's patients are susceptible to react with depression to understood slights and wounds - but Asperger's patients are much more in danger of self-harm and suicide.
